The Cognitive Science Laboratory at the University of Manitoba
Welcome to the cognitive science laboratory at the University of Manitoba. The lab is located in the Department of Psychology and is directed by Dr. Randall K. Jamieson.
We use computational and experimental methods to investigate how people and other animals learn, remember, think, and know. We are particularly interested in the problems of memory, implicit cognition, and knowledge representation. Our theoretical goal is to develop a general account of learning and memory. Our applied goal is to use our computational and experimental discoveries to build applied cognitive technologies like search engines and classification systems.
We are grateful for our research support from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada and the University of Manitoba.
